The “Band of Brothers” reprise—”The Pacific” — lands ashore on March 14th in a 10-part miniseries depicting the savagery of Pacific theater. We’re talking Hanks and Spielberg here, so there’s no need to worry about investing your hard earned down time in another “Pearl Harbor” like disaster. So far in the trailers there are no sightings of Ben Affleck sporting Ray Bans on the black sands of Iwo.
One thing that’ll be interesting to watch is the ratings and what it says about the popularity of all things referencing “The Greatest Generation” in today’s somber economic climate. If you remember, the “Band” premiered September 9th, 2001. We all know what happened 2 days later. “Band” went from nearly 10 million viewers to around 7 million viewers throughout its 10 episode run. Impressive are these figures considering the lack of marketing and the shocked mood of the country in the wake of the attacks. We’ll be watching these figures for “The Pacific”.
Filmed in Australia’s lush settings, specifically, Far North Queensland and Victoria from August 2007 through June 2008, the storylines will folllow three main characters from Guadacanal, Peleliu, and Iwo Jima to Okinawa and back home again.

Thanks a ton! That was really informational, I just Dugg your website.
